New rules for the formation of working hours and overtime pay will be introduced with changes in the Labor Code. The texts were adopted at first reading by the MPs. The changes in the Labor Code increase the overtime from 150 to 300 hours and provide the opportunity to calculate standard working hours for one year.

Workers will have the right to paid leave in their first job after 4 months instead of 8, as it is now, while according to another change teachers will be able to retire when they meet the age requirement, not when they gain enough length of service.

The changes are not universally approved by the social partners.
